Spatial evidence helps Infrastructure Victoria to update their 30-year strategy in response to record population growth.
We developed a series of detailed spatial profiles of Victoria’s six metropolitan regions, focusing on the economic, social and environmental strengths and challenges of each.
Our report contributed to a strong evidence base to inform Infrastructure Victoria’s update of their 30-year strategy. It helped with investment prioritisation and included recommendations tailored to needs at a regional level.
The project included numerous data sets and over 70 indicators. These were presented in a series of tables, charts and maps, along with commentary drawing out relevant insights.
We also prepared an interregional report which outlined the key variations across the regions and summarised key issues. In addition, we compiled a functional economic report for the regions, which identified key characteristics of the self-contained labour markets that operate in Melbourne.
