An economist specialising in urban economics, Sean seeks to understand what makes cities tick. He is a skilled quantitative analyst and has public policy expertise in housing, transport, and macro trends.

Sean applies his policy and quantitative skills to develop long-term forecasts of employment and population at a micro level, drawing on his understanding of both macro shifts in the Australian economy, as well as the subtle evolution of our cities and regions. He is a trusted project manager with a proven track record delivering complex, long term projects on time and budget.

Before joining our team, Sean worked at the Australian Treasury where he advised the Treasurer on road user charging, authored reports for the National Housing Supply Council, and implemented financial sector reforms. Sean then joined the NSW Behavioural Insights Unit where he led the transport portfolio, applying behavioural psychology to solve peak transport congestion.

Sean understands that despite living in a data rich world, wisdom is scarce. Sean draws out wisdom from data in data dashboards and visualisations across his work. This information helps all tiers of government, business and the wider community make smart policy and investment decisions.

Sean has a passion for improving how cities function and enjoys jogging through Melbourne city on his way to the office each morning.
