Emily is an urban planner passionate about applying her knowledge and skills to address issues of equity and social justice.

Emily believes that planning for the needs and aspirations of people and communities through strategic policy can deliver great community cohesion, vibrant economies, sustainable places and diverse cultural expression.

With experience in both the public and private sector, Emily's expertise includes regional economic and community development, housing policy, gender equity and strategic land use planning.

She has a passion for community and stakeholder engagement and a deep appreciation of the value of participatory processes in contributing to effective and transparent policy and decision-making. She has led the development of broad community engagement processes and facilitated several targeted and successful stakeholder workshops.

In 2015, Emily was awarded the inaugural SGS Graham Larcombe Scholarship for demonstrating a keen interest in issues of equity and social justice throughout her Masters of Urban Planning degree at the University of Melbourne. Emily was also awarded consecutive Dean’s Honours awards for academic excellence during this time.
