About the role

Our Melbourne office is seeking an early career data analyst to join our team immediately and apply creative data analytical skills to address real-world problems and shape public policy.

Functions of this role will include, to extract and manipulate large datasets, operate and develop economic models and create innovative data and spatial visualisation solutions to effectively communicate clear policy insights.

The attributes we are looking for are; curious, proactive, problem solver, proud data geek, public policy interest, spatial visualisation interest.

This position would be ideally suited to a recent graduate in computer science, mathematics, statistics, economics or econometrics. An honours degree and previous work experience (i.e. interning roles) will be highly advantageous.

The role requires proficiency in Excel, SQL, Python or R. Additional programming languages are a plus. Experience in GIS, data visualisation, or cloud computing platforms will also be viewed favourably (i.e. Q-GIS, ArcGIS, Shiny, Tableau, CartoDB, Azure etc).
