We are a range of original thinkers – from planners and economists to programmers and creatives. Our Canberra office is seeking an early career economist to join our team. Someone with formal qualifications in economics or similar quantitative fields (economics, econometrics, actuarial science) who understands the power of well-presented and accessible data.
We address real-world problems and provide public policy insights; we are looking for someone who is highly competent in collecting and preparing data from established and novel data sources. Being highly proficient in MS Excel, and with experience with software packages such as R is essential while data analysis program languages (i.e. VBA, Python and SQL) and GIS platforms is desirable.
Highly desirable applicants are those who can demonstrate attention to detail and pride in a high standard of work, adaptability, initiative and strong conceptual skills. Applicants will display a strong desire and ability to learn new techniques and concepts, both autonomously and by working in a team.
While based in our Canberra office, you’ll work with clients across Australia and New Zealand and, on occasion, elsewhere internationally.
