SGS Economics and Planning congratulates the winners and finalists for the 2012 National Awards for Economic Development Excellence, presented in Cairns recently, as part of the International Economic Development Conference.
The conference was hosted by Economic Development Australia (EDA) and the Economic Development Agencies of New Zealand (EDANZ).
Submissions were received from remote, regional and metropolitan areas of Australia, with a diverse range of applications including drought reform policies, innovative tourism ventures, indigenous employment programs and economic development partnerships.
SGS Economics and Planning sponsored the Economic Development Partnerships Award, which was won by Leeton Shire Council and Greater Shepparton City Council.
